The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) at St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission is responsible for recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions, analyzing results, and reporting to the CFO and Board.

The role includes budgeting, internal controls, and supervision of Billing Office staff, with the ability to stand in for the CFO when necessary. The DCFO works with federal, state, and local regulators, leads accounting functions, and ensures compliance across fiscal

Competenze

• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to communicate with staff and external auditors.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Mansioni

• Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements.
• Reconcile general ledger, petty cash, payroll, and liability accounts.
• Assist auditors and respond to inquiries during audits.
• Oversee Billing Office staff and supervise Fiscal Supervisors.
