Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor, Memory Marketing team, seeks a Demand Planning Analyst to lead demand planning, influence supply planning, and optimize DRAM allocation. Daily onsite in San Jose, CA, with Flexible Work policy and cross‑functional collaboration across time zones.

The role requires a strong Excel/MRP background, 3+ years in semiconductor planning, and the ability to analyze market data, forecast demand, and communicate strategies effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (EE, CS preferred, MBA preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor supply/demand planning or hardware-related technology.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of MRP systems; strong presentation and communication.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial, technical and marketing data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global, cross-time-zone environment.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis—Track & analyze key market and customer trends, identify gaps and opportunities, and analyze segment demand/TAM.
• Provide pricing strategies by customer/segment and scrutinize field feedback to finalize decisions.
• Understand customer demand/forecast and supply to influence allocation or production build plan.
• Strategic analysis, marketing strategy, and competitive analysis.
• Scrutinize analyst reports, highlight key messages, and model TAM/SAM and market share.
• Manage quarterly demand forecast against the supply plan to meet regional objectives.
• Establish customer allocation based on priorities while maximizing revenue and market share.
• Create historical customer sales trends to inform supply and product mix planning.
• Monitor demand trends and discuss forecast variances with Sales.
• Pull and integrate weekly changes in forecast, product allocation, and inventory; report to HQ weekly and biweekly.
• Work with HQ to understand lead-times, capacity, and product supply position to optimize demand balance.
