Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Demand Planning Specialist to ensure local inventory aligns with the North America fleet needs. You will work with global suppliers to place orders based on demand, lead time, and life cycle considerations, aiming to maximize wholesale availability while controlling inventory turns and on-hand levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, or a related business discipline preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in planning and supply chain execution.
• Professional communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage strategic product groups through input into planning system to control inventory and maintain order fill rate.
• Expedite stock needs to minimize backorders and stockouts.
• Maintain performance metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and establish countermeasures to meet objectives.
• Manage capacity constraints of key suppliers and tactical supplier relationships.
• Support remanufactured parts requirements and manage core (used parts) needs.
