Job summary

Knowesis Inc. is seeking a Strategic Policy Analyst to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Health Affairs, Health Readiness & Policy Oversight, by researching, analyzing, developing, coordinating, and maintaining policy related to Defense medical logistics and medical supply chain readiness.

Active SECRET clearance preferred and U.S. citizenship required; hybrid work environment with three days onsite in Falls Church, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in logistics, supply chain, public policy, health administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in medical logistics, logistics policy, DoW health policy, or supply chain policy.
• Experience researching, analyzing, drafting, reviewing, or coordinating policy or other formal government products.
• Working knowledge of DoW organizations, staffing processes, or federal policy environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including working through incomplete information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and senior-leader audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across organizations and resolve conflicting positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical logistics policy and analytical support to HRP&O, including strategic development, policy formulation, QA, and research facilitation.
• Draft, review, coordinate, and update DoW medical logistics policy, guidance, doctrine, SOPs, memos, and executive summaries.
• Support the full policy lifecycle from issue identification to maintenance of the administrative record.
• Interpret statutes/regulations and translate them into actionable policy or guidance.
• Identify conflicting policy requirements across DoW components and develop resolution options.
• Analyze medical logistics and supply chain issues affecting readiness, including pharmaceuticals and devices.
• Develop joint medical logistics policy, doctrine, and strategic supply requirements for peacetime and contingency ops.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize information for working groups, CAPs, and senior reviews.
• Coordinate with federal and interagency partners on medical logistics planning and response.
• Develop concise briefings, talking points, issue papers, and senior-stakeholder recommendations.
• Support responses to legislative and regulatory inquiries and ensure compliance alignment.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure policy is practical, executable, and aligned with readiness needs.
