Job summary

Highmark Inc. is seeking a seasoned Data Analyst to partner with customers and design teams, prioritizing data and reporting requirements. The incumbent analyzes projects, translates requirements into applications, and supports decision-making with SAS, SQL, and BI tools.

Responsibilities include mentoring colleagues, driving implementation of solutions, and modeling data sources to ensure secure knowledge delivery across teams. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
7 years of progressive experience in the area of specialization, including leading projects of varying size and complexity.
Experience as a Decision Support Analyst or equivalent is preferred.
Strong technical skills with mainframe, PC and internet-based technologies and large databases.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Business Objects, Cognos, and Enterprise Guide.

Responsibilities

Develop and foster internal relationships across the corporation and provide analytic support to internal customer areas and external partners.
Mentor colleagues on technical and business aspects of projects and consultative work.
Define how decision support systems will provide information to support business decisions and lead implementation of solutions.
Define issues and approaches for studies, create new methods of analysis and adapt existing solutions.
Model data sources and workflows and implement policies to ensure precise and secure knowledge delivery.
Interpret raw data and statistical results, prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Develop and maintain complex programs using SAS, SQL and related databases (DB2, Teradata, Oracle).
