Job summary

BeyondSOF is seeking a Data Scientist to join the VDOT PSPO team. You will collect and analyze statistics from multiple sources, spot trends, and communicate informed conclusions to leadership to shape strategy and business decisions.

You will explore data from diverse sources, build scalable data processes and pipelines, and apply machine learning and predictive analytics to support procurement-related decisions and reporting needs across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in data-driven decision making and strategy for public procurement or similar domains.
• Proficiency in ML and predictive analytics using data and systems related to procurement.
• Experience leading research projects in data mining, algorithm development, or data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze statistics from multiple sources to spot trends and gain insights for leadership.
• Communicate data findings to business and IT leaders to influence decisions and strategy.
• Build data pipelines and scalable data processes for large, complex datasets in procurement contexts.
