Job summary

Render is seeking a Senior/Staff Data Scientist to join our growing Data team and serve as a strategic analytics partner across Render. As we scale, you will tackle complex questions around product, customer, and business performance, from developer adoption to engagement and retention.

You will work closely with leaders across Product, Growth, Go-to-Market, Finance, and other teams to define metrics, design experiments, and translate data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of analytics experience or equivalent leadership in data science.
• Strong SQL, experimentation, and measurement framework design.
• Experience with dbt, BigQuery, and Metabase.
• Ability to translate complex analyses into clear narratives for leadership.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Based in San Francisco or remote; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, growth, finance teams to define metrics and success criteria.
• Design and run experiments to drive product and business decisions.
• Build reliable datasets and measurement frameworks using dbt.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote data-driven decision-making.
• Evaluate AI-assisted analytics tools for accuracy and context.
