Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Data Management Consultant to partner with the Enterprise Data Issue Management and Federate Data Operations teams to advance the bank’s data strategy. You will organize Data Forums, including the Data Steward Meeting, Data Council, and Enterprise Data Risk Subcommittee, ensuring agendas reflect priorities.

The role spans engagement across federated data roles, collaborating with business and data teams to target high-value opportunities, while promoting an inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years related experience, or 7 years total higher education/work experience with at least 3 years related experience.
• Experience consolidating feedback into cohesive themes to influence decisions across business, data, and technology organizations.
• Experience in designing reporting to highlight enterprise priorities.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Basic knowledge of data management concepts, terminology, roles, and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engagement leads to elevate trends for enterprise awareness and action.
• Manage Data Forums, including Data Steward Meeting, Data Council, and Enterprise Data Risk Subcommittee.
• Communicate objectives, priorities, pain points, and emerging trends related to the Data Strategy.
• Produce reporting to monitor program health, business outcomes, data management standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Champion continuous improvement and help elevate the organization's engagement model, driving greater strategic influence and enterprise impact.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
