Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC (QTS) seeks a Category Sourcing Manager to lead strategic procurement across multiple data center-related categories. You will manage complex sourcing programs, develop supplier strategies, and drive cost optimization initiatives with cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep experience in sourcing, contract management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver value for a national portfolio of data centers. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply-Chain, or Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience
Seven or more years of relevant experience in Sourcing / Procurement / Supply-Chain
Experience in contract development, execution, negotiation and management
Skilled in building relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements
Experience in managing and leading change initiatives involving significant impacts
Experience developing long range sourcing plans to reduce costs
Procurement leadership experience across indirect categories

Responsibilities

Lead ongoing category management activities within assigned spend categories to achieve business objectives.
Drive development of supplier and industry category profiles and strategies for data center providers.
Identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities.
Coordinate Facilities’ purchasing activities across national portfolio of data centers.
Lead supplier selection and bid analysis activities including RFI/RFP development.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high spend and complexity categories.
Provide strategic guidance to Total Cost of Ownership models used in sourcing decisions.
Develop implementation strategy, assignments, communications plans and timeline.
Lead implementation activities for categories with critical business impact.
Monitor compliance with supplier agreements in high spend areas.
Develop long-range sourcing plans to reduce total costs and optimize value.
Conduct spend analysis and track progress with metrics.
Negotiate and implement contractual arrangements per policy.
Identify system solutions and best practices to optimize sourcing practices.
Build relationships with stakeholders to gather category requirements.
Ensure tactical execution of purchasing activities to meet needs.
Drive value through collaboration with strategic suppliers.
