Job summary

ABS Wavesight seeks a Data Architect II to design and implement database architecture, enable secure data storage, and drive analytics initiatives. You will architect relational databases, data warehouses, and data models while guiding ETL and MDM strategies.

The role requires deep experience with Oracle 11g/SQL Server, cloud familiarity with Azure, and leadership in mentoring teammates. Houston area preferred, with a path to scalable, enterprise-wide data solutions.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent, from an accredited university, in a data processing discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Typically requires 12 years of experience in database design and analysis and 6 years of experience in Oracle 11g or above.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
• Design and build relational databases, conceptual and logical data models, and flowcharts.
• Develop Databases, Data Warehouses, and Multidimensional Databases.
• Develop a strategy for Data Archiving, MDM, Reporting, and analytical needs.
• Develop database solutions to store and retrieve information.
• Act as a custodian of data and provide insights, assistance, and expertise in making business decisions based on data.
• Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Define and enforce organizational-level data strategy.
• Provide operational support for Management Information System (MIS)
• Develops database solutions by designing the proposed system, defining the database’s physical structure and functional capabilities, and security, backup, and recovery specifications.
• Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
• Mentors junior team members and peers, providing expertise and guidance of tools and systems.
