Job summary

Aon is seeking an Office of the CISO Lead – Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering to drive strategic execution and operational excellence across Security Operations, Data Defense, and Counter Threat Engineering.

This leader partners with senior technology and business stakeholders to translate priorities into measurable outcomes and to ensure consistency in operating rhythms and delivery of multi-functional programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years supporting CISO, CIO, technology executive, or enterprise security leadership.
• Experience leading cybersecurity operations teams and programs.
• Experience across regions and a matrix global organization.
• Leadership in cybersecurity, technology operations, engineering, or program management.
• Translate enterprise strategy into practical operating plans with measurable outcomes.
• Solid understanding of security operations, incident response, threat detection, data protection.
• Executive writing and speaking with data-driven decision making.
• Experience developing executive reporting, governance, and performance metrics.
• Discretion, organization, and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Translate leadership priorities into coordinated plans, measurable objectives, achievements, and accountable outcomes.
• Own executive planning, governance routines, business reviews, portfolio checkpoints, and follow-through across Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering.
• Coordinate complex, multi-functional cybersecurity programs; manage dependencies, sequencing, resources, and delivery risk.
• Prepare concise briefings, dashboards, recommendations, and decision materials for leadership.
• Define operational metrics, KPIs, and reporting routines to improve transparency and accountability.
• Identify execution challenges, risks, and dependencies; drive resolution with clear options.
• Serve as connective tissue across security teams including developers, infrastructure, and AI governance.
• Coordinate planning and readiness activities for global cybersecurity priorities and major changes.
• Support workforce planning, budget activities, capacity management, and investment decisions across the organization.
• Develop leadership communications and engagement narratives.
