Job summary

Garmin International in the Kansas City area seeks a full-time Cyber Security Vulnerability Analyst 2 to operate independently configuring and performing vulnerability scans and assessments to identify and remediate risk across networks, systems, and applications.

You will review tools, analyze threat feeds, coordinate remediation timelines with stakeholders, develop metrics, and communicate findings clearly within a large team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 1 year of experience or equivalent
• Strong analytical and composure under pressure
• Familiarity with CVSS and NVD
• Ability to multitask across cross-team activities
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
• Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude
• Familiarity with defensive security controls

Responsibilities

• Review/configure automated tools, analyze threat feeds, and prioritize vulnerabilities
• Coordinate remediation timelines/plans with stakeholders
• Conduct independent vulnerability scanning and risk-based remediation prioritization
• Develop metrics and timelines to monitor vulnerability management health
• Communicate findings clearly to cyber security and system owners
• Establish remediation plans and coordinate with compliance teams
• Create vulnerability documentation and reports in a consistent format
• Ensure scan schedules minimize service interruptions
• Provide guidance on tool configurations and remediation strategies
• Support governance with vulnerability and scanning procedures
