Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to assess credit exposure for Middle Market/ CML portfolios. You will underwrite, document transactions, and analyze client financials while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely risk assessment.

The role requires collaboration with multiple teams, including risk management, sales, and operations. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance and 3+ years of credit experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field with 3+ years in commercial credit analysis.
• Mastery level proficiency with MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites and documents all prospect and client transactions and analyzes company performance.
• Manages portfolio risk, reviews financial statements, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Interacts with clients and internal partners to develop credit solutions and monitor risk.
• Liaises with Commercial Fulfillment and CSA; maintains data integrity in loan systems.
