Job summary

Shionogi Inc. in Florham Park, NJ seeks a Senior Director, Corporate Counsel to lead market access legal strategy and contracting support for payer and PBM activities.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, manage regulatory compliance, and provide counsel on government agreements with DoD, BARDA, USAMRIID, and related consortia. Travel ~5% and collaboration across US/Japan teams are expected.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years of substantive pharmaceutical/health care legal experience.
• Experience in in-house or law firm with market access focus.
• Experience interpreting pharmaceutical regulations and advising business teams.
• Experience handling investigations and litigation, with external counsel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate market access contracts including payer and provider agreements.
• Support litigation and dispute resolution related to market access and reimbursement.
• Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Advise on government-supported agreements with DoD, BARDA and related consortia.
• Provide due diligence on regulatory, promotional activities and terms of business development transactions.
• Prepare compliance matrices for government contracts.
• Review and interpret contracts to ensure timely performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
