Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cost & Value Engineering Manager to partner with North America Engineering, Design, and Operations, delivering cost engineering across the fulfillment network. You will develop bottom-up cost estimates, should-cost models, and Value Engineering analyses for MHE, automation, and capital projects.

You will balance cost, quality, and performance while collaborating with AI tools to accelerate insights, supporting sourcing and investment decisions across multiple building types

Qualifications

• 3 years of project/program management experience.
• 3 years of cross-functional collaboration with non-tech teams.
• 3 years of using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL.
• Experience defining and executing program requirements with data-driven decisions.
• Background in cost/engineering/value engineering or related technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent bottom-up cost estimates for material handling equipment and capital projects across Amazon’s global portfolio.
• Develop cost estimates from early-stage concepts through supplier selection and implementation.
• Build and maintain scalable estimating models and templates for complex site-specific initiatives.
• Perform should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and Value Engineering analyses to optimize specifications and identify cost drivers.
• Drive scalable AI-enabled cost intelligence solutions by curating equipment and market data and automating routine analytics.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Operations, Procurement, and stakeholders to validate assumptions and influence sourcing decisions.
