Job summary

Coperion is seeking a Cost Accounting Senior Analyst in Wytheville, VA to manage cost data, variances, and inventory reporting. You will oversee work orders, asset verification, and standard cost changes while driving accuracy across cost of goods sold and reporting streams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with cost accounting practices, and collaboration with AP and buyers to resolve issues in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Strong cost data management experience preferred.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual cost roll, purchase price variance reports, and daily cost rolls for parts.
• Open, close, and update status on work orders ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify fixed assets and perform monthly inventory/WIP analysis.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis including MO efficiency, material group PPV, shipping and labor costs.
• Review and monitor changes to standard costs and ensure accuracy across groups.
• Analyze work center utilization and deviations in productivity to explain budget variances.
• Assist AP with invoice/payment issues and participate in weekly meetings for resolution.
• Review and approve RFPs over $500 and validate data supporting COGS and inventory.
