Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 3–5 years manufacturing cost accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Excel; large database manipulation a plus
• Hands-on experience with an integrated ERP system
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accounting
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze standard and actual costs for variances
• Speak with production teams to identify root causes of variances and implement countermeasures
• Provide financial support for cost improvement projects
• Analyze purchase price variance and report to Supply Chain with recommendations
• Support quoting team with product cost and profitability analysis
• Provide margin analysis for new products highlighting gaps
• Prepare reports comparing actual vs budgeted costs and track reductions
• Analyze inventory trends and projections to reduce balance sheet risk
• Maintain productivity reporting and collaborate with Operations on errors
• Work on special projects as required
