Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Senior Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team. You will lead financial reporting for cost, inventory, and sales analysis, support the monthly close in Oracle, and provide detailed cost and margin analyses to support margin improvement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of cost accounting in manufacturing, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CMA preferred), and proficiency in Oracle and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CMA designation is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Margin Analysis, Manufacturing Accounting, Oracle and other financial software.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong knowledge of accounting principles and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting for cost, inventory, and sales analysis to support data-driven decisions.
• Participate in the monthly close process, preparing journal entries and closing Oracle modules for Revenue, Cost of Sales and Inventory.
• Prepare post-closing inventory analysis and reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Conduct detailed cost and margin analysis to drive margin improvement across the business.
• Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations managers to optimize inventory performance.
• Prepare monthly manufacturing metrics highlighting key trends.
• Develop and analyze sales forecasts, integrating actuals, backlog, and projections.
• Oversee cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and variance analysis.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analyses to support business initiatives and continuous improvement.
