Securian Financial seeks a Corporate Tax Consultant to provide tax guidance on reinsurance, M&A, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives. You will influence decisions from planning through execution, collaborating with Finance, Legal, and business leaders to design innovative, tax-efficient solutions that support growth while ensuring compliance.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, cross-functional teamwork, and timely communication of tax implications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of corporate tax experience with strong technical knowledge.
• Experience supporting complex corporate transactions including due diligence and transaction analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as tax subject matter expert for internal and external reinsurance transactions, advising on structures and tax implications.
• Partner with Strategic Business Development on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other initiatives from due diligence through execution.
• Develop innovative, tax-efficient transaction structures and communicate financial impacts to leaders.
