Job summary

A rapidly growing e-commerce firm based in Detroit is seeking a corporate generalist to provide broad legal support across multiple teams. This role involves drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and acting as a strategic legal partner to product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience, excellent judgment, and communication skills. The position offers compensation between $130,000 to $140,000 plus benefits, including bonuses and equity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred.
• Active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar, Michigan strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Advise product development teams on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Provide solutions-oriented guidance on contracts and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive transactions.
• Manage outside counsel relationships effectively.
• Monitor legal developments relevant to e-commerce.
