Dauch seeks an Associate General Counsel in Detroit, MI to serve as a strategic legal partner across the Americas. You will lead commercial contracting, provide practical legal advice to diverse teams, and support HR, employment, and real estate matters in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, admission to Michigan bar, and a track record of handling complex agreements with OEMs and suppliers. Hybrid, with travel 10–15%.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree required.
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan and in good standing.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience in commercial transactions and employment.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements with OEMs and suppliers.
• Strong guidance to business on day-to-day operations with pragmatic advice.
• HR/labor counseling for multi-state U.S. operations.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice to cross-functional teams.
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks with practical solutions.
• Support HR and employment matters, including investigations and wage issues.
• Oversee real estate matters, leases, and property transactions.
• Coordinate outside counsel, budgeting, and cost controls.
• Develop training and playbooks for commercial and employment practices.
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation strategy.
