Job summary

KBR is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the close, consolidation, and reporting processes across multiple ERP systems in the Houston area. You will drive accurate financial reporting, governance, and strategic decision support for corporate programs and liabilities.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting/controllership, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP/consolidation tools. This is a high-impact leadership position focused on process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, including leadership responsibility for close processes and balance sheet governance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls (SOX/ICFR).
• Experience leading period-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting corporate programs such as benefits, pensions, leases, and insurance reserves.
• Proficiency with ERP/consolidation tools: SAP, Dynamics, Costpoint, Oracle FCCS/EPM, Workiva; Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Oversee period-end close activities across a multi-ERP environment, ensuring SOX controls and GAAP compliance.
• Deliver variance analysis and executive-level reporting and dashboards.
• Own budgeting and reforecasting for SG&A to support EBITDA and cash flow reporting.
• Establish and maintain balance sheet ownership and reconciliation standards.
• Promote a strong internal control environment and audit readiness.
• Lead accounting for corporate programs, liabilities, and asset management.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
