Pearson is seeking a strategic, hands-on Lead Specialist in Corporate Communications. The role spans external, internal and executive communications, aligning activity to Pearson’s corporate story across the North America region.

You will shape narratives, briefing materials and stakeholder content while collaborating with Marketing, Product, Sales and HR to advance Pearson’s priorities, including AI innovation and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

• Broad experience across Corporate, Strategic or Integrated Communications.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Strong narrative development and message adaptation for multiple audiences.
• Experience with multiple stakeholder groups including customers, employees, policymakers and senior leaders.
• Experience in B2B communications and thought leadership.
• Experience supporting executive communications and leadership events.

Responsabilités

• Lead proactive and reactive communications across PR, internal comms, social media, customer communications, public affairs and crisis communications.
• Develop narratives, messaging frameworks and content aligned to Pearson’s priorities.
• Support Pearson’s Virtual Learning business and connect to wider themes like AI Innovation.
• Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Sales, Media Relations, Government Relations, HR and Corporate Communications.
• Identify launches, conferences, campaigns and reputational risks and align teams.
• Prepare senior leaders for media opportunities, events and all-hands meetings with materials.
• Provide communications support for executive leadership communications and internal messaging.
• Manage issues and crisis communications planning and response.
• Monitor media sentiment and use insights to inform strategies.
• Produce polished executive-ready materials in Word and PowerPoint.
