Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist in Corporate Communications to shape and protect our reputation across external, internal and executive communications. This remote United States role supports Virtual Learning and broader AI and workforce readiness priorities.

You will develop narratives, prepare senior leaders for media opportunities, and coordinate with Marketing, Product, Sales and Government Relations to deliver integrated communications that align with Pearson’s corporate story.

Qualifications

• Broad experience across Corporate, Strategic or Integrated Communications.
• Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Strong narrative development for multiple audiences.
• Experience with executive communications and leadership events.
• Proactive, detail-oriented writer and editor.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive and reactive communications across PR, internal comms, social media, customer comms, public affairs and crisis.
• Develop narratives and messaging frameworks aligned to corporate priorities.
• Support Virtual Learning while connecting to Career Readiness and AI Innovation.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, Media Relations, Government Relations, HR and Corporate Communications.
• Prepare senior leaders for media opportunities with memos, talk tracks and presentations.
• Manage issues and crisis communications planning and response.
• Monitor media sentiment and advise on reputational risks.
• Produce executive-ready materials in Word and PowerPoint.
