Job summary

NPR is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications to lead institutional communications with employees, member stations, donors, partners, policymakers, and the public. You will develop strategies that articulate NPR's mission, impact, and value, and ensure consistency across departments.

The role partners with Communications, Brand, Legal, People, Development, Policy, and other teams to deliver high-impact communications around major initiatives and executive visibility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in corporate or strategic communications.
• Experience leading communications strategies for complex organizations.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and messaging skills.
• Experience supporting senior executives.
• Experience managing sensitive communications and issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategies that strengthen NPR's reputation.
• Drive executive communications including speeches and town halls.
• Oversee media relations and proactive strategy for corporate priorities.
• Build relationships with NPR colleagues to align messages.
• Coach and develop the Corporate Communications staff.
