Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting with a focus on month-end close.
• 3+ years of management experience in a corporate setting.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and GL maintenance.
• Maintain month-end close checklist with deadlines and deliverables.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting docs prepared by the team.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making and forecasting.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Improve accounting policies, processes, and controls.
• Lead the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Communicate objectives and changes to staff; adapt priorities as needed.
