Job summary

XRI Water in Houston, TX is seeking a Corporate Accountant for an in-person role at Greenway Plaza. You will support GAAP-based accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies.

You will partner with leaders across departments to resolve accounting issues, improve processes, and contribute to scalable growth in a dynamic energy/water infrastructure environment. A strong attention to detail and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Approximately 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience preparing audit schedules and supporting external audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals and amortization.
• Manage components of the month-end close process and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and research discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Assist with audits and audit-ready workpapers.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and drive process improvements.
