Job summary

Consolidated Cooperative in Central Ohio seeks a collaborative COO to lead electric, fiber, propane, and natural gas operations. Reporting to the President/CEO, this executive will guide strategic initiatives, foster safety, and drive continuous improvement across engineering, operations, and supply chain.

You will shape strategy, oversee budgeting, mentor leaders, and build external relationships to strengthen service to members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Engineering preferred.
• Ten years of experience in a related field required, or five years with an MBA.
• At least seven years of supervisory or management experience leading complex operations, teams, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead effectively in complex, fast-paced environments with clear strategic direction.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability, EI, and service.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office applications and business technologies.

Responsibilities

• Shape organizational strategy with the President/CEO and SLT; drive growth and execute long-term vision.
• Oversee electric, fiber, propane, and natural gas work plans from development to evaluation.
• Provide exec leadership for Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain; foster safety and continuous improvement.
• Lead process improvement efforts with the CTO; ensure alignment across teams.
• Develop, mentor, and support leaders through succession planning and org development.
• Participate in budgeting, resource planning, and investment decisions.
• Build internal and external relationships; monitor industry trends and opportunities.
