Job summary

Consolidated Cooperative in Central Ohio seeks a collaborative, strategic COO to lead electric, fiber, propane, and natural gas operations, reporting to the President/CEO. This executive will guide operations while driving strategic initiatives for growth and service excellence.

You will oversee Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, mentor leaders, contribute to budgeting, and build strong relationships to strengthen the cooperative's competitive position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Engineering preferred.
• Ten years of experience in a related field, or five years with an MBA.
• At least seven years of supervisory or management experience leading complex operations, teams, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead effectively in complex, fast-paced environments while bringing clarity, focus, and strategic direction.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to analyze complex business issues, set priorities, and make sound decisions that support organizational objectives.
• A leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability, emotional intelligence, and service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business technologies.

Responsibilities

• Shape organizational strategy with the President/CEO and Senior Leadership Team to drive growth and ensure successful execution of long-term vision.
• Lead planning and oversee electric, fiber, propane, and natural gas operational work plans.
• Provide executive leadership for Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain Management, fostering safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with the CTO to lead process improvement efforts and align across functional teams.
• Develop, mentor, and support leaders and teams through talent management and succession planning.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, resource planning, and investment decisions.
• Build strong internal and external relationships and monitor industry trends to strengthen competitive position.
