Job summary

Murdoch Mason Executive Search Group is confidentially seeking a Chief Operating Officer for a growing, multi-site manufacturer serving foods and related consumer markets in the Chicago area. This role leads manufacturing and supply chain, partners with the CEO, and travels 30–50% across locations.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of FDA-regulated manufacturing leadership, deep operations knowledge, and a proven ability to drive safety, quality, efficiency and financial performance

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in FDA-regulated manufacturing.
Experience leading across multiple locations with large facilities and hourly workforce.
Strong financial judgment with P&L or budget responsibility.
Proven ability to improve operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing and supply chain through a team of senior operating leaders.
Establish clear priorities, operating rhythms, performance visibility, accountability and follow-through across the network.
Improve safety, food safety, quality, customer service and productivity across facilities.
Strengthen continuous improvement, maintenance and problem solving.
Partner with executive leaders to execute major initiatives and capacity plans.
