Job summary

Trinity Solar, a leading residential solar company, seeks a hands-on Controller to lead the Accounting team at its Wall Township, NJ headquarters. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders to strengthen controls, reporting, and processes, while developing the team and guiding strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification is required and actively maintained.
• At least 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 3+ years in a Controller or leadership role.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with multi-state tax requirements and compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
• Excellent communication with executives, auditors, and partners.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and finance operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team with clear priorities.
• Manage general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and close processes.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant and timely financial reporting.
• Develop policies, controls, and reporting improvements.
• Analyze results, identify risks, and provide insights to leadership.
• Partner on budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning.
• Drive cost management and profitability improvements.
• Oversee accounting systems integrity and data accuracy.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax professionals, and CPAs.
