Job summary

Silver Ventures in San Antonio, TX seeks a Controller who will steward the general ledger, drive month-end close, and coordinate audits. This role partners with business leaders to improve performance, strengthen internal controls, and deliver timely financial insights.

The position leads accounting staff, develops KPI metrics, ensures GAAP compliance, and oversees budgeting, tax planning, and financial reporting across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and tax accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and how they are integrated within a company’s accounting structures.
• Knowledge of financial reporting processes.
• Ability to interact professionally with others.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in public accounting and/or industry specific.
• Experience in accounting for multiple companies/lines of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions.
• Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with data integrity.
• Oversee external auditors and regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
• Hire, train and retain accounting staff and develop KPIs.
