Job summary

Pinnacle Search is assisting a private equity-backed chemical distribution, blending and packaging leader in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to hire a Controller who will lead the accounting function and partner with the CFO on financial infrastructure and team development.

This role requires deep US GAAP expertise, cost accounting, and strong process improvements across manufacturing and distribution, with a track record in high-growth environments and acquisition integration.

Qualifications

• Deep technical accounting and cost accounting in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading audit readiness and external audits.
• Ability to drive ERP implementations and system optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and deliver timely financial statements.
• Lead consolidated reporting across entities with strong controls.
• Prepare executive reports for CFO, PE sponsors, and lenders.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team for scalability.
• Partner with operations and IT to improve processes and systems.
• Support acquisition integrations and chart of accounts alignment.
• Liaise with auditors and tax advisors for filings and covenant compliance.
