Job summary

Roman Home Services is seeking a Controller to lead the financial operations of its residential electrical, plumbing, and HVAC business in Wisconsin. This hands-on role requires strong financial controls, reporting, and business partnering with the CFO and leaders.

You will manage general ledger, AP/AR, payroll reporting, and month-end close while driving budgeting, forecasting, and performance analyses to support growth.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in accounting, finance, controllership, senior accounting, or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, month-end close, A/P, A/R, collections, and internal controls.
• Experience in home services, construction, skilled trades, or multi‑department organizations is preferred.
• CPA/CMA or similar certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting and finance functions for Roman Home Services.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll reporting, and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
• Develop practical financial reporting and KPI dashboards for leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure reviews.
• Promote internal controls and process improvements across finance.
