Qualifications

• 5–10+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing audits and working with external CPA firms
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems
• Ability to operate independently with high ownership and accountability

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and deliver monthly statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and variance analysis
• Maintain general ledger integrity and supporting schedules
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and tuition modeling
• Oversee revenue, accounts receivable, expenses, and payroll processes
• Coordinate annual financial audits and Form 990 preparation
• Serve as Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT internal expert for reporting and optimization
• Present financial results to leadership and Finance Committee
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
