NextDecade seeks a Sr. Specialist, Contracts to lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and contract lifecycle activities for complex, high‑value commercial agreements in the energy sector.

You will manage RFx processes, negotiations, drafting, and post‑award administration across cross‑functional teams and suppliers. The role requires strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment within a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of contract management experience in the energy sector, focusing on strategic sourcing, PSA, MSA contracts.
• Experience in a matrixed organization and thriving in a dynamic cross-functional team.
• Excellent negotiation, written and oral communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing events for high-value contracts, including planning, market analysis, bidding, evaluation, negotiation, and award.
• Develop sourcing strategies based on market intelligence, spend analysis, and business requirements.
• Prepare RFx packages (RFI, RFP) and ensure alignment with standards.
• Coordinate fair bid evaluations across technical, commercial, and legal teams.
• Lead commercial negotiations for MPSA, MSA, FEED, EPC, and similar agreements.
