Job summary

The U.S. Marshals Service in Arlington, VA is seeking a Supervisory Contract Specialist to serve as an Assistant Chief and as a first-line supervisor over Contract Specialists, Contracting Officers, and administrative staff in the Procurement Division.

The position is a reimbursable Detail/Temporary Promotion (NTE one year) with potential for permanency and requires GS-13/14-level experience and a relevant four-year degree with coursework in contracting or related fields.

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience at or above GS-13.
• Experience planning contractual strategies and coordinating work for subordinates.
• Ability to prepare documents to execute contracts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Contract Specialists, Contracting Officers, and staff in the Procurement Division.
• Lead Arlington, VA-based contracting actions and procurement efforts.
