Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Specialist, Construction (Starlink) to lead procurement strategies for complex buildouts, evaluate proposals, and partner with project teams to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

You will manage supplier pools, develop should-cost models for MEP equipment, oversee RFPs, and negotiate terms to support SpaceX's Starlink construction programs. Onsite work in Bastrop, TX is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, or supply chain management.
• Alternatively, 6+ years of experience in one or more of the listed areas.
• Strong ability to analyze costs, supplier performance and delivery risk.

Responsibilities

• Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and enable cost reduction.
• Build relationships and drive cross-functional teams to consensus.
• Evaluate project delivery methods and select appropriate ones.
• Organize construction proposals using Masterformat divisions.
• Evaluate contractor EMR ratings and identify risks.
• Develop should-cost models for MEP equipment.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for construction materials and services.
• Maintain a healthy contractor pool and anticipate demand.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Oversee supply chain to ensure timely delivery to sites and coordinate with managers.
• Create, develop and oversee the RFP process and evaluate bids.
