Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a construction project manager to coordinate funded projects from design through occupancy. You will ensure compliance with university standards and contract documents and may mentor staff.

You will develop construction documents, review with stakeholders, manage bids and payments, and supervise project close-out to meet quality objectives and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems.
• PMI and/or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the implementation of approved and funded projects from design through direct occupancy.
• Manages all phases of a project, ensuring compliance with university standards and contract documents.
• May train and mentor new or lower level staff.
• Develops construction documents and reviews with Planning and Project Management and Maintenance and Operation personnel.
• Oversees bids, contracts, payments, and final project close-out; ensures warranty and documentation are provided.
