Job summary

E. & J. Gallo Winery is seeking a Compensation Manager in Modesto, CA to lead enterprise compensation strategy and governance. You will partner with HR, Finance, and executives to deliver data-driven solutions that drive market competitiveness and internal equity.

You will oversee compensation programs, annual cycles, and job architecture while leveraging analytics to guide workforce planning and decision making. Occasional telecommuting and travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of compensation or total rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Master’s degree plus 6 years of compensation or total rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• High School Diploma plus 12 years of compensation or total rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of Gallo HR experience to include 6 years of compensation or total rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Master’s degree plus 6 years of Gallo HR experience to include 4 years of compensation or total rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Managerial or supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of compensation strategy, market pricing, job evaluation, and compensation administration practices.
• Experience leading compensation systems, technology solutions, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of enterprise compensation programs.
• Serve as trusted advisor to leaders and executives with data-driven solutions.
• Oversee annual planning cycles, job architecture, market pricing, and governance.
• Leverage analytics to identify trends and develop recommendations.
• Provide leadership for compensation systems and process optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with regulations.
