Job summary

CyrusOne seeks a Community Affairs Manager to advance market entry and development by building trusted stakeholder relationships across assigned markets. You will proactively manage community, political, regulatory, and reputational risks, guiding engagement from due diligence through construction and operations.

You will lead outreach strategies, coordinate with government agencies, schools, and business groups, and ensure alignment with marketing and executive teams. Travel (~30%) is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in community affairs, public affairs, government relations, economic development, stakeholder engagement, external affairs, communications, or a related field.
• Experience independently leading stakeholder engagement efforts supporting complex development, infrastructure, real estate, energy, industrial, or construction projects.
• Experience supporting projects through multiple phases, including due diligence, market entry, permitting, entitlement, construction, and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with elected officials, municipal staff, school districts, economic development organizations, business groups, and community leaders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate community-related risks that could impact project approvals and reputations.
• Support permitting, zoning, and entitlement efforts through engagement with internal teams.
