Strategic Communications Senior Management Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Senior Management Analyst to support a high-performance Department of War (DoW) team specialized in providing executive-level support and responsible for driving, integrating, and executing top-level strategic, operational, and communication priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for synthesizing complex technical and acquisition programmatic data into a wide variety of highly consumable, decision-ready documentation. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, expertise in cross-functional coordination with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), attention to detail, and the ability to provide actionable insights to program leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory existing task dashboard, repositories, templates, current products, source systems, and open taskers to develop validated artifact inventory, repository map, access list, version baseline, and open-task list
• Manage delivery, staffing, quality, and compliance to proactively identify, document, and mitigate potential risks or issues
• Establish management, editorial, delivery, and escalation cadence with Government points of contact
• Maintain integrated delivery calendar, staffing plan, and suspense tracker
• Prepare and deliver recurring contract reports, including integrated progress, status, and management reports
• Develop and maintain the Quality Management Plan and product review checklists
• Maintain staffing continuity, leave coverage, cross-training, and backfills
• Maintain updated visibility across all taskings and requirements through regular coordination across the team and with Agency senior leaders
• Provide management oversight for dashboard and task management efforts, ensuring rapid response and quality delivery across all products
• Oversee development and maintenance of briefing repository, including approved repository map, taxonomy, naming convention, roles, and product roles
• Oversee development and maintenance of accurate, unified, decision-ready executive communications
• Oversee development and maintenance of brief, accurate, and visually effective technical documentation
• Proactively monitor and adjust workload triage to enable rapid response and deliver urgent decision support without degrading delivery quality

Required Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting the strategic communications and/or executive leader support within the Department of War (DoW)
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and sustaining briefing repositories within DoW systems
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating cross-functional coordination across SMEs and Government Senior Leaders
  • Expertise performing schedule variance analysis, critical path analysis, driving path analysis, schedule forecasting, risk assessment, and milestone management.
  • Experience facilitating schedule planning and status meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience creating executive-level schedule reports, dashboards, and visual presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience assessing cost, schedule, performance, and risk across DoW programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
• Clearance:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs.
• Knowledge of Defense Acquisition System processes and program management best practices.
• Experience supporting executive-level program reviews and governance boards.

Preferred Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $107,030 - $115,020. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data, and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.
