Job summary

The Forum in Washington, DC is seeking a Communications Manager to advance the Forum’s mission through strategic communications, brand management, and cross‑team collaboration.

This full‑time, exempt role reports to the President & CEO, develops and executes communications plans, manages website content, newsletters, social media, publications, and conference materials, and serves as a key liaison for member communications and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
• Four or more years’ experience in communications.
• Strong writing skills.
• Experience with website, email and social media communications; HTML knowledge preferred.
• Experience in marketing communications and advancing an organization’s brand identity.
• Orientation toward continuous learning and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with a high-performance, collaborative team and focus on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communications plans to advance the Forum’s mission and vision.
• Manage the effective use of the Forum’s new name and brand identity in all Forum communications.
• Write and update content for the Forum’s website and manage updates to site design and navigation.
• Manage, design and write all Forum newsletters and marketing materials.
• Coordinate communications for the Forum’s annual conference and programs across channels.
• Manage social media, blog content, and key Forum publications.
• Oversee work with outside vendors supporting the communications efforts.
