Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a full-time Communications Principal Consultant to lead strategy planning and project oversight for internal communications across HR, IT, and security. This role drives strategic initiatives and acts as a trusted advisor to partners at senior levels.

You will craft compelling messages, coach teams, and translate data into actionable plans, influencing outcomes and strengthening the organization’s communications across major functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ equivalent years of job-related experience.
• 7 years of communications, public relations, and/or journalism experience.
• Extensive experience writing and editing for large audiences.
• Mastery in gathering news and crafting compelling stories.
• Strong ability to work with leaders and anticipate their needs.
• Proven ability to leverage networks to inform leadership decisions.
• Mastery of software tools that support communications teams.

Responsibilities

• Build strategic recommendations for focus areas and set cross-functional priorities.
• Lead from within by connecting internally and externally, forging partnerships.
• Regularly consult with executives, leaders, and business partners.
• Review and mentor others, providing leadership and guidance to colleagues.
• Use data and insights to plan, optimize and drive evolution of communications.
