Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate communications, with significant experience in financial markets
• Proven ability to translate complex topics into breakthrough communications strategies and deliver competitive advantage
• Outstanding writing, editing and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic external communications which position CME Group as a market leader in equity, cryptocurrency and retail derivatives.
• Drive strategic positioning, media relations, thought leadership and promotional content that accelerates client engagement and market growth.
• Serve as a company spokesperson who builds and maintains relationships with top-tier press, beat reporters, industry analysts and digital creators.
• Lead content development (press releases, byline articles, social media, owned/earned placements) that positions CME Group as the authoritative voice in financial markets.
• Shape the company’s reputation management, ensuring brand consistency and strategic alignment for crisis and issues management.
• Provide strategic counsel and communications support for business line leaders, messaging frameworks and major announcements
• Guide recommendations for external awareness through speaking opportunities, sponsorships, media placements
• Own measurement and ROI procedures for earned media and thought leadership content
