Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced Communications Manager for the ACTG network within the UNC School of Medicine. The role oversees strategic communications, writes technical content for diverse audiences, and coordinates marketing across ACTG's national and international sites.

You will manage a multi-channel program, collaborate with executive leaders, and develop content that supports clinical research dissemination and donor engagement. Hybrid work in Chapel Hill, NC is offered.

Qualifications

• The role requires five (5) years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex medical research concepts.
• Knowledge of WordPress or similar webpage design applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of internal and external marketing and communication activities.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive, omni-channel communications program for ACTG.
• Coordinate communications across ACTG network domestically and internationally.
• Lead content creation including newsletters, website content, press releases, and social media.
• Support media relations, news releases, and expert commentary opportunities.
