KanaRey, a boutique marketing and creative agency, seeks a Communications Manager to lead media relations and manage relationships with journalists, creators, and community partners. This role goes beyond traditional PR by coordinating campaigns that integrate media, influencers, and communities to support client projects.

The ideal candidate understands how earned media, creators, and communities work together in a modern marketing ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in public relations, communications, media relations, influencer relations, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead media relations across KanaRey client projects, including outreach and follow-up.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, outlets, influencers, creators, and community leaders.
• Serve as primary communication point between KanaRey, clients, media, creators, and partners.
• Identify partners aligning with each client’s audience and campaign objectives.
• Support development and execution of PR, marketing, influencer, creator, and community campaigns.
• Coordinate outreach, interviews, events, content opportunities, and product access.
• Develop messaging, pitches, briefing materials, talking points, and media communications.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative, social, and community teams for campaign consistency.
• Manage multiple client projects and external relationships with clear timelines.
• Monitor media coverage, creator activity, industry conversations, and trends; provide insights.
• Contribute to campaign reporting with media coverage and partner activity.
