Job summary

Liberty Media is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to develop and execute comprehensive plans that advance narrative and organizing priorities. You will guide program messaging, coach staff, and support budgeting while drafting compelling content—blogs, op-eds, speeches, newsletters, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving to translate complex ideas into clear messages.
• Proficiency with popular content management systems.
• Creativity and ability to develop original content.
• Knowledge of Unitarian Universalism; ability to speak and write about UU.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and multiculturalism.
• Eagerness to work in dismantling white supremacy as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes comprehensive communications plans.
• Guides program messaging to align with organizational narrative strategy.
• Coaches and supervises staff through check-ins and performance reviews.
• Supports organizational budget processes.
• Drafts and edits communications materials and content.
• Works with spokespeople to elevate voices through blogs, op-eds, scripts, and more.
• Develops digital and narrative strategies to engage constituents.
• Crafts high‑quality written content including speeches and articles.
• Collaborates to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
• Fosters relationships with stakeholders to gather insights for initiatives.
• Implements cross‑platform content strategy.
• Performs other duties as requested.
