Job summary

Ivanhoe Electric is seeking a senior communications professional to design and execute an integrated communications plan across channels. You will lead storytelling from concept through distribution, develop key messages, and manage a team of writers, editors, and vendors to deliver high-impact content.

You will collaborate with executives to translate complex topics into clear, audience-focused content, oversee media relations, and measure outcomes to continuously improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of progressive communications experience with digital content, social media, multimedia, or content marketing.
• Proven success building communications strategies and integrated campaigns.
• Strong portfolio of written, video, social, and multimedia work with ability to guide creative direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop an integrated communications plan aligned with goals and audience needs.
• Lead storytelling from concept to distribution, including campaigns and content repurposing.
• Establish messaging standards, workflows, and governance for content across channels.
• Oversee social media performance and cross-channel content coordination across web, email, paid, and earned media.
• Supervise staff, interns, freelancers, and vendors; set priorities and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify stories and translate complex topics into clear content.
• Draft and edit announcements, talking points, web copy, newsletters, and campaign content.
• Support media relations and coordinate with leadership; escalate sensitive matters as needed.
