Job description

GMI Cloud is building AI infrastructure for the next generation of AI companies, providing an integrated platform across GPU compute, model inference, and agentic workloads. We work with AI developers, startups, enterprises, model companies, and technology partners globally as we continue expanding across the U.S. and Asia.

About the Role

GMI Cloud is looking for a senior Strategic Communications person to shape how we communicate our company, leadership, technology, and market position as we scale globally.

This is a senior corporate communications role for someone who combines strong writing, executive communications, strategic PR, and technology industry experience.

We are looking for someone who understands how high-growth, developer-driven AI companies build credibility and influence across the broader ecosystem — from developers, clients, and partners to media, analysts, investors, and industry leaders.

You will work closely with GMI’s executive team, Product, Engineering, GTM, and ecosystem partners to turn complex business and technology topics into clear, differentiated, and credible narratives.

What You’ll Do
  • Own GMI’s corporate communications strategy and external narrative across company milestones, product strategy, partnerships, market expansion, and industry positioning.
  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to C-level executives, developing talking points, interview preparation, keynote narratives, briefing materials, executive messaging, and thought leadership.
  • Lead high-impact writing across corporate announcements, executive bylines, speeches, strategic presentations, press materials, blogs, whitepapers, and industry commentary.
  • Translate complex AI and infrastructure concepts into compelling narratives for both business and technical audiences.
  • Build GMI’s presence across the broader AI, developer, cloud, infrastructure, and startup ecosystems using credible voices.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to identify meaningful technology stories and translate them into differentiated market narratives.
  • Manage and collaborate with PR agencies, media, analysts, customers, partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Develop communications strategies around major company moments, including product launches, strategic partnerships, fundraising, global expansion, and executive positioning.
  • Support sensitive or high-visibility communications with strong judgment, accuracy, and message discipline.
  • Build a scalable corporate communications function and operating cadence as the company continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, strategic PR, technology communications, journalism, editorial, or related fields.
  • A strong professional writing background, with demonstrated ability to produce executive-level and corporate-level content.
  • Experience working with or within high-growth AI, cloud, developer platform, infrastructure, or enterprise technology companies, ideally in a pre-IPO or rapid-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of developer-driven technology companies and how they build communities, ecosystems, partnerships, and category leadership.
  • Proven experience directly supporting CEOs, founders, or C-level executives on external communications, strategic narratives, interviews, speaking engagements, and thought leadership.
  • Experience managing communications across multiple stakeholders, including media, customers, partners, developers, investors, analysts, and industry influencers.
  • Strong familiarity with technical concepts and terminology related to AI models, inference, APIs, GPU infrastructure, cloud computing, developer platforms, and agentic AI.
  • Ability to quickly understand technically complex products and translate them into simple, differentiated, and credible messaging.
  • Exceptional editorial judgment and attention to detail.
  • Strong ownership mentality and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You
  • Are a strong writer first, but also understand the strategic role communications plays in building a company.
  • Can move comfortably between executive strategy, corporate storytelling, and technical subject matter.
  • Understand how developer-first AI companies grow and how communications can influence their broader ecosystem.
  • Can work with enginers and product leaders while also preparing a CEO for a major media interview or industry conversation.
  • Think beyond traditional PR and understand how corporate reputation, executive visibility, ecosystem influence, and category positioning work together.
  • Are highly hands-on and comfortable owning both strategy and execution.
